Yes a rare Comet hit Brighton last December 2010....  In fact it's a 'Comete' car mascot by Rene Lalique. One of only a handfull known and produced in 1925. It is of pressed moulded glass and signed-etched 'R Lalique France' on the lower ray of the streaming tail. It is complete on its Breves Galleries metal lighting base which when fitted to the cars radiator it is then wired-up to the battery to light this mascot up at night, making a fantastic display! This was purchased by C.A.R.S. of Brighton. For full detauls of this and many other exclusive pieces of art glass by this famous glass works please go to: www.laliquemascots.co.uk also of interest is the Lalique club website which is at: www.brmmbrmm.com/lbcc.bb We are ALWAYS seeking out rare Lalique as this and if you have ANY FOR SALE or know the whereabouts of any we pay hight prices and finders fees as well....best of luck!
